About Us

Sustainable Finger Lakes (or SFLX) is a new independent organization based in Victor, NY, that seeks to engage the community in and around Victor and the Finger Lakes region in actions that will help the community thrive economically, socially and environmentally; the triple bottom line for sustainability.

SFLX began as the Town of Victor Sustainability Advisory Committee. In 2015, the Committee reorganized as an independent non-profit organization, with the support of the Town Supervisor Jack Marren, in order to work directly with other local municipalities, the school district, businesses, organizations, and the people of the community.

Sustainable Finger Lakes is in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity status. The organization is led by former VSAC members John Palomaki, Kathleen Draper, and Dawn Carter. We are pleased to have over 115 community members on our meetup list.
